Live @GPL, Diálogos Duo "Celebrating 200 Years of Brazilan Independence". Join us for an afternoon of traditional and popular Brazilian genres (samba, choro, baião, frevo, marcha, maracatu, maxixe, valsa) with contemporary classical and jazz vocabularies. Founded 2016 in New York City, Diálogos Duo is the preeminent clarinet-guitar duo based in the U.S. specializing in contemporary Brazilian music. “Diálogos” means “Dialogues” in Portuguese. Diálogos Duo consists of composer Richard Boukas on guitar and Louis Arques on clarinet and bass clarinet. This event is live and in person in the GPL Multipurpose Room.
