How to Talk to Children and Teens about Race with Karissa Sullivan Online
Karissa Sullivan, the Academic Standards Facilitator at East Ramapo Central School District, will give a presentation about how to talk to children and teens about race. She will discuss how to have these uncomfortable conversations, what racism is, what microaggressions are, and what CRT actually is. Register for this virtual program in advance.

Sullivan is a Doctoral Student in the Urban Education Leadership Program, at Teachers College, Columbia University. She currently serves on the BIPOC Advisory Board for the Phyllis B. Frank Rockland County Pride Center. At the Pride Center Karissa volunteers by holding support groups for those who are within the LGBTQIA community as well as Black and Brown parents of LGBTQIA children.
