Finding Your Civil War and WWI Veteran Stories Online
Join Matt Urtz, Madison County Historian as he demonstrates how to utilize free resources that include ancestry.com, newspaper indexes and more to tell the story of two veterans. He will walk people through the process of research to show people how they can track family members through government records, newspaper clippings and more. Urtz will also talk about some pay resources that may be beneficial to researchers. He is also working on his own book about New York Civil War Veterans that we hope to hear about.
