Join us in revisiting the Scott Pilgrim series, written by Bryan Lee O'Malley! We will be reading and exploring the graphic novel series, Scott Pilgrim, comparing it to the film Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and playing the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game! The Scott Pilgrim series, a 6 volume graphic novel series, centers around Scott Pilgrim, a musician and slacker who lives in Toronto, Ontario. Scott Pilgrim meets and falls in love with Ramona Flowers, an American delivery courier for Amazon.ca. Scott and Ramona eventually begin dating, but in order to continue dating Ramona, Scott must defeat her seven evil exes. The graphic novels were released between 2004 and 2010, with a full-feature theatrical film released also in 2010. Although the film was well received by critics, it didn't do well in the box theater. The graphic novels were re-released in color between 2012 and 2014; the video game was re-released in January 2021, and the film in April 2021.

We will be discussing the graphic novels, watching clips of the movie, and play Scott Pilgrim trivia in the first two sessions (Sept 29 & Oct 6).

Patrons are invited to play Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game with the host on Epic Games for PC in the third session (Oct 13).
