WJCS (Westchester Jewish Community Services) Center Lane is where LGBTQ+ youth create community, connect with culture, and contribute to the world! For 25 years, Center Lane has been the only program and educational center dedicated exclusively to serving LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-21 in Westchester County. Based in Yonkers' Getty Square, Center Lane provides a safe place for youth to share difficult experiences, discuss important issues, develop friendships, problem solve with other youth and caring adults, and build leadership qualities.

Through in-person and virtual programming, youth gain a sense of community in an affirming environment, surrounded by peers and adult mentors who understand them and who can help them understand themselves.

Presenter, David Diamond, has a BA in English from Columbia College, Columbia University and an MA, M. Ed., and M. Phil. from Columbia University Teachers College.  He is a certified teacher and administrator.  He has worked with students with mild to severe disabilities in a variety of settings, both private and public, as well as residential programs.  In addition, David has taught at the graduate and undergraduate level, and worked for the State Education Department as a school program monitor.  David has been a Gay-Straight Alliance advisor, served on the boards of GLSEN Hudson Valley, CANDLE Rockland, Scaffolding/Amplify, and is a founding director of PrideWorks, a conference for LGBTQ+ youth.  He currently is a Program Specialist for WJCS’ Center Lane, Westchester’s LGBTQ+ youth program.
