LTS Poetry Workshop for Beginners

LTS Poetry Workshop for Beginners In-Person

The September three session workshop is intended for those who have never attended a Learning to See class and who are interested in exploring poetry in a supportive atmosphere. Each two-hour session includes an in-class writing exercise as well as feedback. Open to all levels; no previous experience with poetry or art required. Registration opens August 17 at 1:30pm.
Partially funded by the Friends of Greenburgh Library, and Greenburgh Arts & Culture, workshops are free and open to the public. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend all three sessions. After registration limit is reached, a Wait List will be formed and students contacted as spaces become available.Teacher: Kate Gallagher

The Brenda Connor-Bey Learning to See™ Legacy Workshop Series focuses on writing poems inspired by art, and exploring all creative writing, as well as other ways to "see" using an "ekphrastic" style.  (Ekphrasis = “Description” in Greek. An ekphrastic poem is a poetic treatment of visual art.)
