Older Residents Of Greenburgh Learn How To Be Part Of The Village Movement!

Join the Aging-In-Place "village movement" already achieved in Tarrytown, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Rye, and other growing areas in Westchester County!

Lynn Reichgott, President of The Center for Aging-In-Place in Westchester, to inform a way for seniors living in the Greenburgh area to age with more peace of mind in your own home.  Using the model of the Village Movement begun in 2001 in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood, discover how issues such as transportation needs, socialization, legal and digital support are provided older adults.  A handful of residents who were determined to grow old in their own homes can form a membership cooperative of support.  In this way, each incorporated village becomes a 501 (c)(3) and is able to fund support largely through members dues and volunteer opportunitites. Learn how this works and how Greenburgh can begin our own Aging-In-Place group.
