This virtual program explores the history and traditions of the most celebrated day of the year, the 4th of July. Almost every American joins with family and friends for picnics, parades, fireworks, and fun. How did these traditions begin? “Happy 250th America” explores how the celebrations evolved, from the very first celebration in 1776 to the anticipated events for the Semiquincentennial (Quarter Millennium) in 2026.
