Shiatsu Makko Ho Workshop In-Person

The program includes guided Makko Ho meridian stretches, breath awareness, simple Shiatsu self-care tapping techniques, standing Qigong, and/or gentle Tai Chi movement, and seasonal insights to support balance and well-being. This workshop is open to adults of all levels, and no prior experience is necessary.

The Makko Ho exercises are a self-healing technique designed to improve the flow of Qi by opening and moving energy through specific stretching routines. Makko Ho is a progressive practice and should be practiced regularly.
Silvia Velarde: A dedicated student of Grand Master Kumiko Kanayama at the Five Lights Center of Shiatsu Studies in NYC, she was born and raised in Perú, where she was initiated and inspired by gifted Maestros of Traditional Andean-Amazonian Medicine. Her healing journey continues as she incorporates and explores different techniques and ancient practices, including TJM, into her work.
