STEM Program for Kids - Quantum Computing

STEM Program for Kids - Quantum Computing In-Person

Can a marble be both red and blue at the same time?

Can a fruit be both an apple and an orange?

Well, if you are a quantum computer, yes they can! Quantum computers feel like science fiction, but they’re closer than you think. Curious to explore the strangeness of this rapidly emerging field?

Quantum computing is a rapidly evolving field with the potential to completely transform areas like cryptography and AI. This course covers core concepts in quantum computing - such as bits vs qubits, superposition, and entanglement - while exploring their real world application and underlying theory.  The presentation will include some hands on activities throughout.

Recommended for ages 10 years and older. Registration is required but walk ins welcome.

The program is presented by the Scarsdale Robo Raiders, an eight-year-old robotics team from Scarsdale High School. They are a  team of talented engineers, designers, and programmers.  Our goal is to inspire future generations and instill a love for robotics and the wider world of STEM.
