Real Reads, Non-Fiction Book Club In-Person
Real Reads is the library's new book club for adults. Narrative nonfiction is the focus of Real Reads. Selections include memoirs, biographies, adventures, history, true crime, current topics, science, and more.
This is an opportunity to meet new people and enjoy stimulating, engaging, and friendly conversations.
Real Reads meets on Saturday mornings at 10:30 am in the library.
Registration is required.
Print copies of selected titles will be available at the first-floor circulation desk, while supplies last.
Borrow the electronic version directly from the library’s catalog.
- Saturday, January 4, 2025 - Sociopath: A Memoir by Patric Gagne. Print copies will be available starting December, 2024.
- Saturday, February 1, 2025 - Madness: Race and Insanity in a Jim Crow Aylum by Antonia Hylton. Print copies will be available starting January 4, 2025.
- Saturday, March 1, 2025 - Grief is for People by Sloane Crosley. Print copies will be available starting February 1, 2025.
- Saturday, April 5, 2025 - Cloistered: My Years as a Nun by Catherine Coldstream. Print copies will be available starting March 1, 2025.
- Saturday, May 3, 2025 - Who's Afraid of Gender? by Judith Butler. Print copies will be available starting April 5, 2025.
There is no book discussion in June, July, and December.
