Local History Presentation: Ladies of the Light: Women Lighthouse Keepers Online
Join Jo Ann Tufo, Historian and American History teacher for "Ladies of the Light".
This program is presented in an informative PowerPoint and lively lecture format. It explores the lives of some women who were called upon to serve as lighthouse keepers throughout United States history. These individuals responded to the need, were required to step out of traditional female roles, and assumed the job in the absence of men. The program celebrates "Ladies of the Light" from coast to coast.
