Patron Privacy Disclaimer

- Patron Name: Used to identify the patron and match records across systems.
- Email Address: Used for account creation, license assignment, and communication with the software vendor.
- Booking Dates: Used to determine the start and end of license usage.
- Booking Status: Ensures licenses are only assigned to active or confirmed bookings.
No additional data is collected or stored outside what is required for this service.
How Your Data is Protected
- All communication between the library’s systems and third-party platforms (e.g., Microsoft, LibCal, Glitch) is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.
- Logs generated by the sync service are not permanently stored. Logs are created only during the runtime of the sync process and are cleared automatically once the service completes or the application is restarted. This ensures that no sensitive data is retained unnecessarily.
