Managing the Unpredictability of Life: Resiliency as We Age In-Person / Online
Join us for this informative and interactive workshop for older adults to learn about resilience, its benefits and how to cultivate resilience as we age. Hear from community mental health professionals and older adults as they share their knowledge and lived experience on mental health, overall wellness and offer "six steps to age wisely".
Presenters include:
- Barbara Bernstein, PhD, MPH, Chief Planning Officer of the Mental Health Association of Westchester
- Brian Gens, LCSW, Senior Director of Training and Community Engagement at the Mental Health Association of Westchester
- Barbara Stern, MS/MPS, CASAC, Specializes in Counseling for Seniors, Lexington Center for Recovery
- Nicole Brunalle, LMSW, Elder Abuse Prevention Program Coordinator at Family Services of Westchester
This program is brought to the community by the Westchester County Geriatric Mental Health Collaborative in partnership with the Greenburgh, Mamaroneck, and Ossining Public Libraries. The Collaborative is a multiagency workgroup to improve the delivery of mental health to older adults; members include Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health, Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry, Mental Health Association of Westchester, Lexington Center for Recovery, and Family Services of Westchester.
