Poetry Critique Group Online

Join our Poetry Critique Group, a self-led gathering for poetry lovers to share their work, receive constructive feedback, and engage in thoughtful discussion. This program is an off-shoot of the Learning to See Poetry Workshop series, and is designed to give patrons a supportive environment to refine their craft. There will not be an instructor present; instead, participants will guide the session, offering and receiving critiques from peers. Whether you're a seasoned poet or just beginning, this is a space for growth and collaboration.

Group Norms:

  1. Respectful Critique: Offer feedback with kindness and care. Focus on the work, not the writer.
  2. Constructive Feedback: Highlight both strengths and areas for improvement in a balanced way.
  3. Active Listening: When someone is sharing their work, listen attentively and without interruption.
  4. Equal Participation: Allow everyone a chance to share and receive feedback.
  5. Open Mindset: Be open to new perspectives and styles, embracing the diversity of creative expression.
  6. Confidentiality: What is shared in the group stays in the group, ensuring a safe and supportive space.

Come prepared to share your poetry, or simply to listen and learn. This is your opportunity to connect with fellow writers and sharpen your poetic voice.
