Passwords - Cybersecurity Education Series In-Person

Since 2021, Americans have lost $2.7 billion to social media scams alone. Our society quickly becomes more reliant on technology, and we must address the issue of cybersecurity. Our program aims to protect the digital privacy of our local community from scams and malware. Be sure to bring your own devices so you can follow along. By attending our program, you will learn how to secure your electronic devices and the following vital topics:

  • May 25 - Session 1: Passwords Learn how to create an effective password and use password managers to store them safely.
  • June 8— Session 2: Scams #1 We will discuss scams from text messages, emails, and phone calls. You will learn how to identify, address, and report them.
  • June 15 - Session 3: Scams #2 We will discuss scams from social media and online games. You will learn how to identify, address, and report them.
  • June 22 -  Session 4: Malware Learn how to identify, address, and report types of malware.

Be sure to bring your own devices so you can follow along.

This program is open to teens and adults. 

Please sign up for whichever day(s) you want to attend. Walk-ins also welcome!
